Learn More About the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon

The newest model from Volkswagen brings a new look thanks to an aggressive, fastback body style and elongated front end. Together these design elements work to give the 2019 Arteon a luxury-car look, but some careful planning went into making the newest Volkswagen more than just a pretty face. Mike Raisor Volkswagen has several Arteon models in stock, but before you pay us a visit, check out some fun facts about the new Volkswagen sport sedan.

The Arteon name is derived from the Latin word for art, and it underscores just how much careful planning went into the design of this new model. The team at Volkswagen set evolution in its sights when designing the Arteon, seeking to redefine the boundaries of the four-door coupe concept.

The length of the Arteon is apparent at first glance, but it isn’t without its function. The 112-inch wheelbase provides the extra interior space you and your passengers need to have a comfortable ride, no matter how long your road trip will take.

With production of the latest Volkswagen model taking over three years, it seems as though the extra time spent planning was well worth the wait.

The Volkswagen design team wanted the Arteon to take on a natural, predatory look that would make it aggressive without being over-engineered. In doing so they considered natural predators such as sharks and snakes to create the initial design.

While it may not look like the Arteon has ton of trunk space, the fastback design helps hide the 27 cubic feet of cargo space that resides beneath the rear hatch.

The DCC adaptive chassis control is standard on the sports sedan, allowing you to choose from comfort, sport, and normal drive modes for a tailored experience.

The seamless grille and headlight design was by far the most ambitious design element, but one that made it from initial concept to final production thanks to the striking aesthetic it delivered.

The 2019 Arteon includes forward collision warning, automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert all as standard features.

Opt for the R-Line trim and give your Arteon an even sportier feel both inside and out.
